ProSwivel Pulley Recall and Safety Notice (December 21, 2022)
As part of CMC’s ongoing commitment to delivering high quality safety equipment, we are notifying customers of the following information related to the ProSwivel Pulleys. Please see the notices below.
Due to the holiday season and call volumes, please refer to the instructions on the notices and corresponding forms to help us efficiently move you through our inspection and recall processes. Product Recall Notice
CMC and our manufacturing partner Rock Exotica have become aware of a potential safety issue regarding the button assembly, which may not be secure in a limited number of ProSwivel Pulleys. As a result, CMC is issuing a Product Recall Notice for the following pulleys with lot numbers 20050XXX through 22304XXX (spanning manufacturing dates of February 2020 to October 2022):
- ProSwivel 1.1” PMP SwivaBiner Pulley (CMC Part # 300435)
- ProSwivel 1.1” PMP Single Pulley (CMC Part # 300434)

Safety Notice
Due to the similarity between the affected 1.1″ pulleys and other ProSwivel models, CMC is taking the precautionary measure of issuing a Safety Notice for the following parts with lot numbers 18001XXX through 22304XXX (spanning manufacturing dates of January 2018 to October 2022):
- ProSwivel 1.5″ Pulley (CMC Part #300430)
- ProSwivel 1.5″ Pulley (CMC Part #300431)
- ProSwivel 2.0″ Pulley (CMC Part #300437)
- ProSwivel 2.0″ Double Pulley (CMC Part #300438)
- ProSwivel 2.6″ Pulley (CMC Part #300436)
- ProSwivel 1.5″ Double Pulley (CMC Part #300432)
It remains important to always inspect your pulleys before and after use including the button and set screws. Follow the link below for additional information on inspecting all of your Proswivel Pulleys.
PLEASE NOTE ProSwivels Pulley models prior to 2018 were manufactured in a slightly different manner than models made after 2018.
